Situated in the heart of La Cañada Flintridge, our classroom is the boundless natural landscape, offering endless avenues for discovery.
The Little Finches are guided by both nature's offerings and the children's passions.
We draw inspiration from Jon Young's "Coyote Guide" book, alongside nature's wisdom and each child's passions, allowing our daily rhythm to naturally unfold. We seamlessly blend these influences, bridging the gap between nature's guidance and our directed flow.
Each day, we cultivate Core Values by practicing Animal Forms, Mapping, Mind's Eye Imagination, Bird Language, and Sit Spot. In our supportive environment, mentors lead children in songs, nature-connected games, projects, and daily storytelling, enhancing their holistic learning journey.
