Community Gatherings
At Little Finch, we cherish the spirit of community and come together for special gatherings that foster a deep sense of connection with nature and each other. As families, teachers, and children, we celebrate the changing of seasons during the equinoxes and solstices, uniting in potluck-style gatherings to share delicious food and create lasting memories. These gatherings offer an opportunity to rekindle our appreciation for the natural world and the cyclical rhythms it offers. Additionally, in June, we joyously gather for the graduation ceremony, commemorating the growth and achievements of our Little Finches throughout the year.
During these heartwarming gatherings, the teachers lead parents and children in song, music, games, and activities that mirror the joyful experiences of our forest school days. This allows parents to participate in some of the forest school activities their children enjoy, further deepening the bond between families, teachers, and our beloved little finches. We believe that these shared moments of exploration and play cultivate a supportive and nurturing environment, where each individual feels valued, empowered, and connected within our Little Finch community. Together, we foster a sense of belonging and interconnectedness that enriches the journey of every Little Finch and their family.
